I’m re rbing this cause

I looked for map positivity stuff myself to see if it was true and all i found was anti map positivity people and a few salty geology enthusiasts who didn’t like the new associations with the word “map,” this is wonderful.
I know some people might not care about this. I know some people think this is to complicated. And I know some people think this won’t affect them. But here’s the thing, IT WILL definantly effect you no matter where you live. It will effect you tumblr user, you reddit users, and you watching youtube.
If this law gets passed then it’s gonna inspire the rest of the world. It was just like how in the USA.
The video is barley sixteen minutes and less if you skip ahead.
Matpat does do a great job of keeping it as simple as he can in explaining the massive implications can be just because of one very vague sentence in the directive. It is going to be open to abuse and will effect every social media platform we enjoy.
ANY DIRECTIVE THOUGHT UP BY THE EU PARLIAMENT THAT PASSES COMPELS MEMBER COUNTRIES TO ADOPT ANY NEW ARTICLES INTO EXISTING LAWS.
Europeans: find out who your MEPs are, contact them, make them aware of the implications. There are a few influential countries where their MEPs voted overwhelmingly in favour of this.
UK residents: WE’RE NOT EXEMPT FROM THIS! Brexit is not a cut and dry deal, we’re still going to be effected by any directives. 16 of our 73 MEPs DID NOT VOTE ON THIS ISSUE. Out of the ones who did, 27 were for this article, 29 were against it! That’s not a comfortable enough gap when it comes to debating whether to adopt it into our already strict copyright laws. We have to fight this just as hard as the rest of Europe.
Non Europeans: keep spreading the word. I can assure you that this WILL affect you. Remember every single website that you visit told you how they updated their privacy policy? That came from a motion from Europe. If this directive isn’t reworded, you can bet that other countries will turn to see it and try to implement it themselves. Your constitutions and laws won’t keep you safe from this if it’s been worded in such a way that anyone can abuse it! Big companies WILL try it out once they’re done in Europe.
Don’t shrug it off, don’t be complacent. There’s a real danger that we could see the end of free speech and freedom of expression as we have come to know it on the internet!
